Millet Valentin

The french are at it again. This time, talented artist and designer Millet Valentin
concots a pretty cool website with some nice animation and small assortment of work pieces to peruse. That reminds me, Johnny Depp lives in France...uuhh..Yeah.

Alexandra Compaintissier

World reknown artist Alexandra Compaintissier is watercolor mistress extraordinaire and illustrator queen. I've always been in love with her style and how much it reminds me of all those clothing pattern packets I went to buy with moms when I was a kid. The penciling is so rad and you've probably seen her stuff and not even known it. Kid Memories..sniff sniff.

Shots.DE

Ty Gobel is a German Illustrator with some very unique stylie...think bold line strokes plus some artful and organic shapes are you get some of his trademarks. Almost like mouse drawings...complete with imperfect lines and raggedy connection points. Me likey likey.

Daniel

This hotel in Austria seems to really take the Arnold Schwarzenegger-ness out of the country. Clean, Crisp, and Modern is the taste of the day here and you can get a vespa to cruise the barrio for 15 euro. There's also Loft Rooms that must be dope as well...and clubbing, hopefully not in the so typical Euro-Trash Style..uhhh..I love Europeans. I really do...Yup, I'm there!

Christopher Gilbert

This small collection of amazing visual pieces by Photographer and Visual Artist Christopher Gilbert is tantalizing. The pieces range from Crude to Humourous and to the outright bizzare. Definitely some beautiful stuff nevertheless. Updates might come scarce for the days to come...so eat on the last few for a while. Apologies.

DualPod

D.G. Isaias Toledo apparently resides in Baja California where he designs and art directs for network and broadcast it seems. He has some nice frames up on his site to preview. My only thought is this...if you live in Baja, where it is warm and gorgeous all day long (not to mention the beautiful people who must be roaming around the premises), how do you get anything done? I'd be a failure down there...no doubt.

KANT-1

Just as I was about to give up on the French for being annoying and rude I find this...Seriously cool stuff by this french illustrator/designer/animator, who I'm assuming is named..uh..Kant? Oh-Yeah, I was kidding about the annoying and rude thing..well, sometimes.

Alessandro Pautasso

Alessandro Pautasso jams in Italy and has some really nice stuff based off of his collection of flaming curly cue elements. Some may say it's elementary and boring, I suppose, since it is usage of pre-purposed imagery it seems...but I dig it for sure. It's Art Man..Fear No Art!!

Mike Perry

Mike Perry has some nice artwork on his site. The guy has some great type chops and his illustration stuff is unique as well. He has worked on different mediums with many different clients...check it out. Why am I here typing this..it's a beautiful day outside. Vile.

The Use Again Exhibition

Oh man...finally a tiny window of time to throw some stuff up on here...It has been a streesful busy time over here at the studio. But I'll start off with Belgium's own Flink Design Agency, who intiates The Use Again Exhibition, which showcases work they receive from talented artists and designers that are discarded or rejected. The idea is to accumulate these individual vectorized artwork pieces and put them together to produce interesting composed artwork. The exhibition travels through places such as Malaysia, Singapore, New Zealand, Japn, and other Cotinents. You can submit your own stuff too! Go for it. Don't be scuured!

Yetisports

I used to hit this yeti/penguin flash game back in the day and realized, creator Chris Hilgert, has created a number of new ones and improved on all the graphics of his older ones as well. If you're ready to lose hours of work time and not leave the house then don't click this link..Otherwise, Proceed now!!

Pink by Charlie White

Thanks again, Rick, for another gem, this time by the adicolor group. Artist/Director Charlie White does Pink for Adidas. This is something you just can't miss...A little homage to the Bjork of yester-years, it may seem, but with a great simple concept and some tasty visual effects (Pepto-Bismol comes to mind). The song is by Greg Weeks called "made" and remixed to showcase this bizzare but awe-inspiring visual plush fest. TGIF! I'm Out!

Burlesque of North America

My homey Joel Lava sent me this one for all you savage beasts. Design, Fine Art, and the ever so clever Online Store. These guys are rockin it from Minnesota and have some definite flav. Check it before you wreck it. Out.

KrudMart

Cool Brands, Cool Gear, and More. Krudmart just did a major overhaul on their site. Get going and spend all your hard earned cash on some stylie for the upcoming summer. Even though it's raining mad heavy here in SoCal..Nastay!

Plus Minus Design

Oh Man, Gadget haven for designers. I'm not sure how much of the stuff on this site is production of prototype but it's definitely stuff I want to have...now! I mean, C'mon..an inflatable USB stick...genius. The Russians are always clever that way...eh.

MAKR

Josh Spear spotlighted, Jason Gregory, a self-taught leather worker and supremely talented designer has been hustlin his unique goods for a bit now and has a new site (at least newer then I last saw) with an online store. All his stuff is limited edition and hand-made. The wallets are so amazing..I'm putting in an order..now. So should You! La La.

No Pattern

Chuck Anderson is an amazing professional artist who has freelanced for the likes of Microsoft, Nike, Burton, and many more. He speaks at many universities and events and is a pop-culture guru. His Online Store also has some great stuff to buy if you're down. His woodwork stuff gives me a definite half-mast. Wait..did I say that? Uh. Hooray.

Tracey Overbeck Stead

Another Destyler special...an award winning interior designer out of Texas, Tracey Overbeck Stead has really put together some really great spaces. Being a big furniture and interior space fanatic (now more than ever) I was compelled with some of her stuff. Man, I really need to buy a dresser. Ugh.

Emie Loves Food

Wow, who would of thought a little girl like Emie could eat so much! Amazing...perhaps that gives her all that energy to produce all the nice work on her site. Photos, Illustrations, Designs, and Animation...not too shabby. Check out her new experimental spec on her lust for eating..fun! Now time for me to go home...Hallelujah.

BraveArt 2006

Some great artists are touring a collection of progressive art that can't be missed. With the likes of Ben Tour and Shepard Fairey in the mix, this is not one to be mixed. Find out more information at the website. It's in Whistler, BC so there's no way I'll be there but I'm there in spirit as of now. Ohmmmmm.

Jaime Zollars

Oh man...this is the stuff that scared me when I was little. Obviously super talented, Jamie Zollars has some amazing acrylic paintings to view on her site. Sort of a colored Neo-Edward Gorey style that really speaks volumes in narrative and wonderment. Wow.

Yutaka Loves London

I didn't have a lot of time to get deep into this one but the interaction and design is rad. Yukataka shows you the hip and uh..un-hip spots to hit in London. A cool little diary with write up sessions. This could be helpful for my trip...uh..if I ever go anywhere.

Iamana

Another Brazilian talent I spotted off Destyler. These light handed illsutrations have a great quality to them...minimal and fantastic. Iamana is the name...coooool.

LameToy Generator

Got some time to kill? Check this out. TDPDesign has a pretty cool flash based Toon shaded toy generator that lets you randomy build your own toy. Hip Hip Hooray!

Diogo R.G. Kalil

Mad Lobo Fiend Diogo...Quite rad Illustration and some really interesting animation. I don't know much about him personally but Lobo has been doin nice stuff for years...it shows on his reel. A nice find for sure. Thanks Rick.

Chemical Brothers.Believe

I believe this is old but I've only caught it recently. Directed by diabolicals Dom & Nic, The Chemical Brothers Believe Video is a dark mental psychosis about a man running from his workplace, which is represented by a sinister 3D robot that chases him through town. Enriched with Bloc Party's Kele Okereke's vocals, thunderous beats by the brothers, raw mini DV footage, and Framstore CFC's CGI, there is an eerie consciousness to the video. OK, back to the taxes.

New Musique Galore

So I was sitting here finishing my taxes when I spontaneously dribbled myself over to the ITunes music store and, before I knew it, had bought 8 albums. You read that right..8! Ugh. Simply couldn't resist. But, with suprisingly glee, all of them are most excellent and all quite new...Check these out, You won't be dissapointed. Promise. Oh Yeah, don't miss the new Flaming Lips album as well...quite tasty.

Band of Horses / Everything All the Time
Devics / Push the Heart
Film School / Self Titled
Islands / Return to the Sea
Mates of State / Bring it Back
Tapes 'n Tapes / The Loon
We Are Scientists / With Love and Squalor
Wolf Parade / Apologies to the Queen Mary

La Mujer de mi Hermano

I have yet to see this film but bought the soundtrack and the score based on some picks by Chris Douridas on KCRW. Considering that I'm a soundtrack fiend in the first place, I was quite surprised at how good these albums are. The Music for the film includes the likes of The Nortec Collective and Tanghetto. The Score is my favorite as the instrumentation is traditional soundtrack yet there are hints of Brian Eno-esque soundscapes and his slightly processed electronics. Pick it up in the ITunes Music Store...Friday man...gotta get the hell out.

What Font is that?

Anyone ever try to figure out the name of a font and search through your batch for hours, only to come to a half-assed carbon copy with an "E" that is just barely different. Frustrating, no? Well, I came across this site that lets you upload a small image and then find the font name for you..It's pure magic..try it!

Seeking Art Director...

...or any creatives with mad skills that want to join a team of ultra-motivated and talented artists who are ready to conquer the world. You'll get to lead teams of designers on the raddest projects and be forced to be in all the conference calls and meetings and not get to do any of your own work...well, almost all..heh heh. No, really...we need another fool to tandem with me on all the projects we got brewin over here at Fulltank My hands are full!!...please give us a call or email us on the site, which is about to go through a major overhaul. Really..serious.

Tendervittles

Another good pal, Jason Brubaker, has a Background in Comic books, Illustration and story-boards. The man has jammed heavy at top shops such as Stardust and 5-xb-b and is the creator of "Malice and Plunder" a TV pitch which has been picked up by Acme Filmworks for development. Nice Job Mang! He is looking for directorial jobs and is for hire...Damn man, I gotta nail you down on some stuff soon...how about now?! Whoo-Hoo!

013A

013A is Matei Apostolescu and the artwork is just sick...It covers a wide range of design sensibilities but always manages to look gorgeous. Check out his scrolling site with a slew of high-rez stuff. Man, Blogging is tough!

Now, only if I can figure out how to block his number on my phone...arrrggh. J/K..heh-heh

New Audi TT Unveiled

The Brand new Audi TT was unveiled today and, considering how much of an Audi Fan I am, I'm quite excited. It's a little more geometric and less soft and round, which helps the agressive factor two-fold. And, as always...the interior is exquisute. Check here for all the newest info and Pictures.

Eneone

Exclusive and signed to Buck LA, the duo of Benjamin Langsfeld and Thomas Schmid are Eneone, A Multi-faceted creative entity that specializes (from the site) in illustration, storyboards, apparel, packaging, web interfaces and development, corporate identity, 3D design, and fine arts. There is, without a doubt, some amazing artwork and designs showcased here. Buck is lucky to have some retainership on these guys who I think are amazingly talented. Check out the Illustrations if you haven't.

Jahow you do that?

Gmunk Linkies

Studio Friend and PornStar Bradley Grosh AKA GMUNKowitz is sporting some new fly artwork and has some special linkies (link01, link02),exclusive I might add, for all you inquisitive folks out there. The man keeps flaking on updating that website, I suppose I'm not one to speak, but hurry and stop being so busy you filthy animal. Heh.

Our Friend Juicy

Just in case, for those of you that don't know, Our good friend and talented design animation maestro, James Wang AKA Juicy, has his reel up for your viewing pleasure. Design Graphik on Flickr

Caught some pretty rad collage designs by Design Graphik on Flickr. Not to mention some great photography and more. These guys have been around for a long time and are still producing some quality stuff.

Tank Theory

Some Fresh Threads and Designer Gear for the gratuitous designer that needs to scream "I'm a designer Damnit...look at me" Some cool stuff for sure. Buy it Here.

Stamps are cool!

Another obscure but interesting find, courtesy of Bill Sneed. Old Bicentennial stamps from the days when men wore wigs and were proud of it. The Post Office made some bank back then on these. Otherwise, there is some definite radness in those designs. Great reference material. Damn post office man...waiting in those lines with that eerie quietness while some fool kicks his huge box forward every 5 minutes to break the tension. Wheeeew.
